“Learn the Meaning of Life through Learning the Meaning of Your Life”
Joan offers sessions that help people understand the difficulties, disappointments, and even tragedies of their lives, as their personal journey. Understanding what one has learned and how one has grown through loss, failure and success gives meaning, dignity and purpose to the experiences. Understanding one’s life in these ways can even change the inevitable event of death into a moment of acceptance and love. These sessions come from Joan’s own personal experience of learning how the “inevitable” stresses of life have helped her learn compassion on a level that is profound.
“Turn the Meaning of Your Life into a Screenplay”
Joan also combines the “Meaning of Life” work with her training in screenwriting. She believes that everyone’s life is a story and people can write a screenplay from their own experiences whether they choose to write it as biography or as fiction. Writing about one’s life is a similar experience that every screenwriter faces – telling a story about a character and how they resolves a problem or face a challenge, how they changed in the process and what the results were. The change and growth a character achieves (or doesn’t achieve) is called the “character arc”. The process of writing deepens our understanding of the meaning of our lives as we learn about our own character arc.
Joan Erskine has trained in Prema Birthing with Derek O’Neill, and in Rising Star Energy Healing System with Sondra Shaye. She also trained in Reconnective Healing with Dr. Eric Pearl. She has studied Screenwriting for over 20 years and written a short animated feature called Grandma Joan’s True Colors. She also created and markets a tool for screenwriter’s called The Screenwriter’s Initial Draft Pad. |
